Shout out to my wife walking past the Black Butler section in the anime store today because they thought professor!Sebastian was a dominatrix.
I can see it.

Hazy day~ The forecast said real feel 32C, but there was a breeze to counteract it (apparently we go back to winter weather on Friday). The sun and wind and water made me nostalgic for something I couldn't quite place. I also saw a man on a bike (wearing a tea towel as a cape to catch the droppings), with an African Grey parrot on a long pink leash perched upon his head.

Entrance of the Taipei Animate (with is underground) with a surprising amount of webtoon paperback ads. I was dying for that Wolf in the House ad - my fave image for the series, and the Taiwanese editions all have several nice postcards (they were debossed or gilded, I don't remember), alas, too expensive... I bought one volume and a 3D image thingie, a type of goods I haven't seen in Japan yet. The book is Day Off, a cute slice of life BL, sadly printed in monochrome in Japanese. I also bought four older books in used bookstores. I also found the Taiwanese edition of KJ Charles' first Magpie book with the gorgeous cover, but it seems Taiwanese novel editions don't have in-text illustrations like Japanese ones, so in the end I didn't get that one...

Support your local zoo! The Taipei Zoo is one of my favorite places to go and always on the top of my top rec list of places to see in Taiwan. It's one of the largest zoos in Asia, and the MRT station is right outside of the entrance! And the admission is only NT$60/US$2. Really, this place rocks.
